Cayucos Garden Club

The purpose of the Cayucos Garden Club shall be to further an interest in growing and
arranging plants; to serve the general community; to assist with the development of
projects of conservation of natural resources, and to encourage civic beautification.

This year, 2009-2010, is the forty third anniversary of The Cayucos Garden Club, having
been founded April 1966. During these past years, treasured members have served this club
well, creating a strong, viable organization committed to worthwhile goals. It is our wish then,
this year, to revisit the club's past, by introducing to new members and re-introducing to
veteran members, the rich history of our club and the biographies of our founding members.
During each meeting, five to ten minutes will be devoted to a historian report which will focus
on the club's charter membership and their early goals and aspirations for The Cayucos
Garden Club. It is through this study and examination that our current membership will learn
the history of this club by "Remembering the Past", bringing our past forward to "Meet the
Present" and by honoring our past "Build to the Future". 2008-2010 goals of the current
membership are to create new traditions which will recognize and honor past presidents of
our club and the contributions made over the years.
